Ar Y Growel, Dacw'r Wyddfa Canvas
“A wonderful walk through the heart of Eryri, descending from Crimpiau towards Llyn Coryn.
What makes this view so spectacular is the incredible variety of mountains stretching out in every direction. The mighty Moel Siabod takes centre stage, with Llynnau Mymbyr nestled below, Yr Wyddfa on the horizon, and the dramatic peaks of the Glyderau, Tryfan and Pen yr Ole Wen rising to the right.
And just look at that glorious carpet of purple heather! A beautiful splash of colour against the earthy greens, golds and rugged mountain landscape. An absolute dream of a colour palette to draw!
This was an extra-special walk, chosen by my father-in-law, who is never happier than when he’s out exploring these magnificent mountains. A place he knows and loves so well, and what a treat to experience it through his eyes.
A walk to remember, and a view I simply had to capture!"
